Danubius Hotel Gellert

I must comment on its very central location - it was fantastic. The double room is recently decorated and functional. All in all they offer exceptional service.

We had a really nice stay in Budapest. The double room didn't seem appealing on photos but it was great-sized and recently decorated with view to the danube. The stuff was fantastic friendly and cooperative all that time.

Unique and romantic place all in all, has really polite staff in staff members. The units are airy, new-fashioned.

The location was great and lovely - only a short distance to everywhere we wanted to go. The restaurant was outdoor with interesting atmosphere & food, we ordered healthy dishes.

It's a luxurious place, fairly clean. The hotel has a very central location on the Buda side of the river next to the Szent Gellert ter metro stop which provides a great link to the Budapest Keleti railway station. Furthermore, it's really close to easy transport and walks to tourist destinations, Close to trams & the metro, and good tram/metro connections right outside.

The breakfast was marvellous and comprehensive with plenty of decent bread, pastries, yoghourt, fruit, and eggs. The stuff where accommodating and immensely pleasant.

Marvellous and stunning location right on the Danube, good for visiting Budapest. Really great service, unlimited breakfast spread.

Overall - well-maintained and great value place with caring staff at the reception desk. Recently refurbished & airy unit on 3 level. The location fantastic and stunning enough away from town centre to be quiet. Besides, easy to get to Gerard Sagredo.

The location was very central, close to Gellert Hill which provides great views near the Citadel, Very close to Buda castle and the best attractions of the city.

All in all everything was amazing, had a lovely stay on this vacation and stay. The room was good sized, and we had a magnificent view of the river. Fab and gorgeous location right next to a tram stop that took you everywhere made it easy to get to key attractions.

Some of the staff were ignorant.

Had a real good stay for three nights, glad I've chosen it. Incredible location and overall the staff was very amiable and extremely helpful. Also, the hotel was a 10-15 minute walking distance from hapsburg fortress.

The standard room was cheap. It had fab location and amazingly nice and consistently courteous staff at the reception desk.

Would stay there again if we go to Budapest, thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything is clean and great. The location is marvellous and stunning and the food is decent. A standard room has basic facilities you need.

Slices of fresh bread, pastries, yoghourt, fruit and eggs served for breakfast where brilliant. The room on 3 level. The location offered was marvellous and particularly good close enough to airport at reception, and the metro stations.

Sadly, but there was bad smell in some areas.

I found the hotel's location absolutely perfect and fantastic, just next door to a tram stop which gets to to many parts of Buda, and bars, Resteraunts to bottom of high street. Also, a huge market was located in vicinity.

Had superior king room with a view-308, airco and a large terrace. Marvellous location really close to the mountain on the other side, Gellert Hill, park and the Citadel and the Buda Castle which is a day's worth of exploration.

Plenty of food for breakfast including coffee, pastries, yoghourt, fruit and eggs. Carbonated drinks at bistro bar, good service. Amazing pool and spa area. Incredible location of the hotel right next to the bridge in Budapest. Also - next to fine restaurants in Budapest, the Buda Castle which is a day's worth of exploration, good restaurants, and wonder night views of Pest and bars, Resteraunts to bottom of high street.

The place was luxury and had competent and knowledgeable staff at the reception desk, loved the stay. Fab location for visiting restaurants and bistros a short walk to the hotel. It was set in a green area. We ate in the very nice restaurant at the ground floor which was reasonably priced. An iron, a storage, and a carpet were available here.

The place was clean with an amazing design and competent staff. The breakfast was unlimited, had lots of options. The location was incredible - so close to the indoor market and fine restaurants in Budapest. There was an outdoor restaurant nearby.

Ideal place with very good Wi-Fi and in-house restaurant. Modest and cheap rooms with exceptionally comfortable beds and wake-up service.

Early check-in, parking nearby. Modest and cheap hotel room with a very comfy bed and adjacent bathroom. Decent food including bread, pastries, yoghourt, fruit and eggs at the breakfast.

It was in a marvellous and particularly good location adjacent to the chain bridge and Liberty Statue, a great vista point for night scenes of Budapest. We booked a good sized and recently decorated room with river views.

It had an excellent location close enough to good tram / metro connections, several tram lines and a new metro station and park on the St Gellert Hill, which is the excellent place to walk. Plus, Gerard Sagredo was close by. We were offered large and abundant breakfast with views across the bridge to Pest.

Romantic and clean place to stay in, it has outstandingly accommodating and really polite staff at the reception desk.

Great location, it was very close to major sites and the many fascinating sights.

The setting was bad.

The place was fairly clean and romantic, it had excellent friendly staff from the female receptionist. Breads, pastries, yoghourt, fruit and eggs for breakfast were all splendid! The location for Budapest was great, near to the Market Hall on the Buda side of the Danube, bridge and tram line and downtown and public transportation.

The place was clean, I booked the double room with river views, everything was perfect. I loved the room and its convenient decor. The staff were accommodating and immensely pleasant, I was offered an enjoyable breakfast. The team provided a good service. The pool was great.

The units are recently decorated, modern with bath and shower. The location is marvellous and good near the green bridge close to all places on foot.

The property is clean with an excellent design, and the continental breakfast is incredible. The rooms are modest, the bar is good. The service is great, includes paid parking. Besides, it offers very good wifi to guests.

Everything is fantastic here, had a very good stay for winter time. The room is reasonably priced. It has both exceptionally attentive and well experienced staff. A relaxing bar does the trick.

Beautiful location in a safe area so close to the Danube river and the tourist attractions of the city. Nice pool, parking nearby.

It was cheap, neat and with the best view.

The rooms they have were bright and cheap with the bathrobe as well as another pillow. The location was unbeatable and stunning, close to Thermal pools.

There was generous and comprehensive breakfasts with pastries and yoghurt, as for instance. The location was magnificent and unbeatable, you can visit Liberty Bridge by walking.

The room we booked was splendid and cheap with a fantastic view, original furniture, for instance.

Everything was excellent, had an absolutely amazing stay for three nights. The whole room was spotless with wonderful views, a cupboard plus bath.

A safe box, central heating and a work desk available in the superior room. Comfy bed, sensational breakfast. Awesome location just off the green bridge, bus stop and Budapest with cheap rooms.

It had very central location close to Gerard Sagredo. And the area was stunning, close to Bistro, the tram, and Hungary-Budapest.

Overall it was comfy and cheap with a court yard view. The location was strategic, at a medium distance from Central Library.

I booked warm and cosy room, that was offered with fabulous view, the portable air conditioners, as for instance. The location of the hotel was unbeatable and brilliant - not too far from Made by You Pottery Store.

By and large, it was luxury place with attentive staff in staff members. The location was stunning for walking around a huge market. Also was a short walk to restaurants and bars.

There was lots of healthy meals. The room was bright, provided with the bathrobe, TV, as for instance. The venue's position was very central.

The hotel was stylish and unique, we 100% recommend. By and large, it was excellent base for sightseeing in Budapest, had much fun and met exceptional staff in staff members. We had views of courtyard;))

The hotel of choice in Budapest. Fairly clean place in historic style with all necessary facilities. Lots of goodies for breakfast.

Everything was great, I 100% recommend. My stay was excellent for 2 nights. The staff members were immensely pleasant and exceptional. Loved my room, it was fairly quiet and cheap and with a balcony, TV, for instance.

The location was 1 mile to dohany street synagogue. A few steps away from the restaurant Hummus Bar

The breakfast was GREAT, there was everything. Our rooms were nice. Convenient base for a weekend in Budapest.
